I’ve studied the Proud Boys since 2017. They’re another group to emerge from the manosphere. Since 2017, I’ve noticed how they have embraced radical traditionalism and combined those beliefs with the shared group practice of not mastrubating. I don’t see as much entitlement as Elliot Roger, but I do see male anxiety, which they soothe by trying to place women back in a 1950’s housewife role. I wonder what ways their misogyny diverges from incel. I also wonder if they are more like the male version of Christine Chubbuck, but instead of being openly self depricating, they troll to attact female attention, even if it is negative. I see gang elements as well, e.g. getting jumped in, getting tatooed, not speaking to outsiders, doxxing anyone who stands to threaten their organizations, etc.
Curious as to what your thoughts are on the group and how you see it differing from incel.
