Response From The Proud Boys Whisperer

Hello!

My name is Samantha Kutner.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I work as an independent consultant as a trusted source of information, insight, and intel on emerging far-right threats.

More colloquially, I am referred to as the Proud Boys Whisperer, for the outreach I do with those who have taken the redpill without considering its implications.

A lot to cover so let’s get to it!

This is an article where a black professor insists that the Proud Boys are not white supremacists.

https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/sep/30/wilfred-reilly-insists-proud-boys-arent-white-supr/?fbclid=IwAR0idgNiKG5XyTnkwj9F3JgmZcGMxKlnce3asHK-bpbacE328WeLJ3DJQqc

I was emailed this article yesterday with the message: “Good morning Samantha. What are your thoughts on this?”

I had many! Here is my Response

The first tell that this individual is a sympathizer is that he used the strategy of pedantry i.e. “We’re not white supremacists, we’re western chauvinists.”

Western is code for white confirmed by parts of Gavin McInnes’s memoir where he explicitly calls it code for white.

Proud Boys see themselves as defenders of the west, but when you remove the veil, Western becomes white.

As I said in my latest for Georgetown, in America, “there is no unifying culture of whiteness.”

When you distill “white,” to it’s most basic components, you have what Kate (Kathleen) Shaw, MA., MS., PsyD. calls “culturally normative psychopathy” and “aggrieved male entitlement.” This is how multiracial members transcend their racial and ethnic limitations, through identifying with the west.

This is the academic answer you can read more about here and watch a great conversation with Skeptics in the Pub here. https://www.twitch.tv/sitp

The shorter answer is that you can be bigoted regardless of race, class, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

I would have to speak to the professor directly to understand his support of Proud Boys, but since misogyny, or hatred of women, is the most salient pull factor, it is likely that Proud Boys give this individual permission to harbor misogynistic views.

Some multiracial members want to be contrarian, feel they have been put in a box by democrats, and don’t realize how often they are used as ideological shields.

Here is another public conversation with a black Proud Boy where we discuss other motivators for becoming middle management in an organization that promotes the violent denial of diversity.

I talked about this directly with Charlie Kirk last year, when he came to my university and stated the equivalent of, “But I have black friends.”

Black people are not a monolith, but in response to Black professors supporting or defending the Proud Boys, hear about the group from the perspective of one of its first black leaders, Dante Nero, who tried to offer social skills for the men and left in 2015 when the white supremacy of the group became undeniable.

I hope this primer helped introduce the complicated concept of multiracial white supremacist organizations. As they say, knowing is half the battle.
